This morning, I got a rather alarming call claiming that my credit card had been billed £1,100 for one purchase and £300 for another on Amazon. The automated voice instructed me to press one if everything was alright or two if there was an issue. Naturally, I didn’t engage and swiftly ended the call before verifying the number. Turns out it’s a landline in Wolverhampton, which clearly indicates it’s just a dodgy scam.
