They used my first name straight away - I guess they think it makes you feel comfortable like they really know you. I cut them off quick, nicely but firmly telling them to take me off their calling list and never ring me again. This bit’s key - if they keep calling after you’ve said no, they could be in serious trouble legally.

There’s this firm called Cream Financial who kept phoning me repeatedly. I told them I wasn’t interested and requested they remove me from their calling list. Despite that, they called again and got really rude, demanding to know when I supposedly told them not to call. I told them I wasn’t interested but she kept pushing, saying stuff like “wait, don’t you want my help?” in a pretty pushy way - clearly working on commission. Even though I asked them to remove me from their list, they claim “there’s no record of your request.” It’s really annoying.
