Received the same call as Nick dated the 17th of June. I won’t be returning the call, as it seems likely to be a scam.

I’ve just received a call from this number, and it seems rather suspicious. It appears that Orange may have passed my number on to a third party. I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re trying to peddle something related to PPI, as many are nowadays.

Today I got a call, and when I picked up, the person said I had dialled the wrong number. But when I tried ringing back, there was nobody there to answer. Pretty strange!

They were proper rude and told me it'd cost 1.50 per minute to ring them back, so basically it's a scam even calling them again.

Honestly, the best thing to do is just hang up on these telesales morons. They really ought to find something better to do with their time.

I keep gettin calls at all times, but when I pick up the phone they just cut me off. Tried calling em back a few times but no luck getting anyone on the other end. I only got this phone and number a few months ago, which I switched to because I wanted a break from all the nonstop ringing. Really frustrating!

I picked up the phone without checking who it was first. The person on the other end had an American accent and said something about "Hello" not being a valid extension. Pretty weird! I'm really thankful for everyone else's comments, they've helped me steer clear of this strange caller.

Got a call, picked up, but they just ended the call straight away. I rang back and they said it was about PPI. I told them to take my name off their list, they agreed then just cut the line. The caller's name was Gareth.

Got a call out of the blue saying I’d get a refund if I just handed over my bank details. Definitely sounded like a scam to me, so I hung up straight away. Don’t trust anyone asking for stuff like that over the phone!

Got a call from this number today (13/6/18 around 3:45pm). I rang them back and spoke to someone who said they were from a firm named MJE. They claimed I was due a refund from my bank because of some mis-sold PPI. When I questioned them further about the process, I didn’t want to bother myself and just ended the call. So yeah, if this number pops up on your phone, it’s probably just the same thing!

Got a missed call from this number today (13/06/2013 10:11am) on my mobile. I usually ignore calls from unknown numbers, so didn’t bother picking up. Still, it’s pretty frustrating. And to the one who mentioned it’s a new phone and they don’t know how their number got out... your phone company actually sells your details to marketing firms, even if you try to opt out. It’s annoying but true.

this number just called me and when I picked up, it said something about an invalid extension. honestly, these businesses need to be stopped from calling people like this. it really annoys me. if I'd claimed my ppi, I'd probably give them a call back.

This number keeps ringing you with an automated voice just to trick you into ringing them back. When you do, someone answers and reads from a script about a workmate trying to reach you over missold PPI claims. Absolute rubbish and total waste of your time. I’ve already reported them to the ICO, so don’t bother returning the call.
