I've had two calls within a mere 48 hours from this outfit. Quite frankly, that’s baffling as we don’t even possess a mortgage, plus my wife steers clear of all financial matters! To my utter disbelief, this brash lady had the nerve to label me as rude when I questioned her. Interestingly, they managed to get our names spot on, so I’m left pondering who might have flogged them a list containing our details. Quite the mystery, isn't it?

I received a phone call from this number earlier today concerning my mortgage situation. When I informed the caller that I’m entirely mortgage free, she then probed about whether I had life insurance. I firmly told her that it was none of her concern. She claimed it was a follow-up call, but I simply can't recall receiving any previous communication. I requested that she remove my number from her list, and she assured me she would. Interestingly, this number originates from my area.

A lady rang me earlier, claiming she had previously discussed my mortgage. I was quite taken aback and firmly stated, "I highly doubt that!" I informed her that my number is on the Telephone Preference Service list, meaning they ought to stop contacting me for the sake of my privacy. She assured me she would remove it, but mentioned that my details were unfortunately tied to some consumer data company selling off my information. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if I continue to receive these bothersome calls. It's quite disheartening to think that the TPS doesn't hold much weight in these situations, especially since this was a local number, not some overseas call centre!
