He’s used different numbers though, I’ve been jotting them down as they come. Mostly, the calls come in the afternoon but once even on a Saturday. I know the voice from before and just cut the call straight away, it’s really unsettling. I told them I wasn’t interested and they still ring back the very next day. There really ought to be rules stopping these kinds of companies from doing this. After I ended the call, she rang back twice, which felt a bit odd. She said my PC had been compromised and wanted me to enter a code she provided. Claimed she could actually see my computer was on, but it was definitely turned off then. Sounded pretty believable but definitely seemed dodgy. I asked why they bothered calling instead of sending an email. Not sure I ever shared my landline with Google anyway. They said I’d been emailed about it - which I definitely wasn’t.
