Had a call saying my internet's about to get cut off and to press 1 to sort it out. Sounds dodgy to me, probably a scam. Bet if you press 4 they charge you loads. Definitely gave me bad vibes.

This number belongs to us, but it looks like it's being involved in some kind of scam. Today loads of people have been ringing to say they've missed a call from us, but we haven't called anyone except our phone company to sort this out. If you get a ring from our number and it’s not about a job application (which is the only reason we use our phone), just ignore it. Please don’t share any info or, even worse, send cash. Fingers crossed our provider can put an end to this soon.

I got a call claiming to be from BT, saying some hackers from Nigeria were trying to access my line. They told me to open my laptop and check the settings. As soon as I heard that, I thought it sounded dodgy. I said I’d ring BT myself and ended the call straight away. Felt really fishy, especially since my internet and phone line both seem perfectly fine.

Got a robocall claiming to be from BT saying my internet was about to get cut off due to some tech problem and to press one to fix it. I've never had BT ring me with anything like this automatically before. Didn't bother pressing anything, just hung up straight away. Felt really dodgy, honestly.
