7 months"Energy Survey" scam. Obvious lies from the off. Said he had our details from the government's "Energy Performance Register". Asked him to tell me our house's EPC rating from that register and it was obvious the liar hadn't a clue. I'm in my 70's but still reasonably mentally acute, but these liars will be looking out for the vulnerable, who may not be so able to detect the scam. We're registered with the TPS and our number has always been directory, but both these measures are clearly pointless. It gets tedious adding every scammer's number to the landline block list (dial 1572, then option 1, then press 1) every time. Given we've had over a dozen scam calls like this over the past month I'm far from convinced that number blocking is effective, either.TPS7 monthsGot a call from 01902211017, and I’m pretty sure it’s one of those dodgy insulation scams. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it on my phone now.7 monthsI tried to pick up but they just ended the call before I could even get to the answerphone.7 monthsSome bloke ringing up asking for £3,999, I just told him to jog on. Proper sketchy call that was.7 monthsShowed up as one of those annoying calls so I just let it ring out.7 monthsGot a call saying there was a double glazing offer for my area. I asked which postcode they meant and then they just cut the call. Feels like double glazing is just an excuse for some scam. We’re on the TPS list, yet these pests still ring. Honestly, some sort of serious punishment should be given to those who ignore the TPS!TPS7 monthsThe phone rang but as soon as my answer machine picked up (I always let it do that for numbers I don't know) they hung up straight away. No message was left either. After reading these reviews, I’m pretty sure it’s some kind of scam call. I’ve blocked the number now.7 monthsMy landline rang but as I didn’t pick up, they didn’t bother to leave a voicemail.7 monthsThe call was quite slow with a lot of gaps in between what was said. A woman was enquiring about the last date I had my attic insulation inspected and approved.7 monthsThis number just calls with some dodgy automated voice. If you don’t say anything, there’s no noise. But talk to it and it starts this fake chat trying to trick you into handing over cash. Best to just block it.7 monthsGot a call from a lady with an English accent, said her name was Jane. She was chatting about something to do with solar power, seemed kinda familiar though. Pretty sure it’s the same person who phoned me a while back.Jane7 monthsI just stayed quiet when they called and then ended the call myself.7 monthsNo voicemail was left when I picked up the phone. I’m pretty sure it’s those same lot who keep ringing me up with some kind of scam.7 monthsGot a call at 10.04 this morning, guess they’re starting early, maybe going down the list alphabetically or somethin’. Let it ring through to voicemail, just silence for a bit, then they cut off. Looks like another classic spam or scam move if you ask me.7 monthsNo reply from the person on the line says it all. When a robo-call rings through like that, you just know it’s some sort of con. Got them blocked right away.7 monthsI keep getting calls from this number, and it’s flagged as a nuisance one. Seems like I’m stuck in a cycle of scam calls at the moment. Really hope they stop soon.Submit Your Own Report (01902 211017)
