I received a bizarre automated call purporting to be from either Mastercard or Visa-though curiously, it made no mention of my name whatsoever. The recording stated that £600 had been taken from my account ‘overseas’, and urged me to press 1 if I didn’t authorise the transaction. If you happen to get a similar call, be warned: it’s a scam!
