I’ve been receiving multiple calls about a Visa card transaction, but they keep coming from various numbers. The accents suggest it might be an Indian call centre. Definitely feels like a scam to me!

I received a rather dubious phone call today, on the second of February 2023, at precisely 09:50. It was a recorded message claiming that my Visa card had been charged £300 for Amazon, and that a hefty sum of £1000 had been transferred abroad. The quality of the call was quite appalling, making it hard to decipher what was being said. Just to clarify, I have no Amazon account whatsoever. Curiously, I had a similar call on the 30th of January at the same time, this one originating from an Oxford area code.
