Got several calls about some visa card charge, but they kept ringing from loads of different numbers. Definitely sounds like an Indian call centre to me. Feels kinda scammy.

Today, 2nd February 2023 around 9:50am, I got a call with a recorded message saying my Visa card was charged £300 by Amazon and also £1000 sent abroad. The line was really scratchy and hard to understand. I’m not signed up with Amazon, so this was strange. I actually got a nearly identical call on 30th January at 9:50am too, but that time it came from a number starting with Oxford’s area code.
