This number rang me up claiming to be from Domestic & General, but something about it didn’t sit right. Lately, I’ve been getting loads of calls about my washing machine warranty running out, and by mistake I told them I was already protected by Domestic & General. I reckon that info got stored somewhere, and now they’re pretending to be D&G to try and trick me. Honestly, it feels really dodgy and like a proper scam.

Got a call supposedly from Legal and General saying my washing machine warranty was about to expire. I joked and asked what colour her underwear was, and she just hung up straight away. Bit rude really, not even a goodbye!

Got a call from someone with an Asian accent saying I needed to pay up to renew my washing machine cover. He kept me hanging while I went to find my credit card, but just as I was ready, he seemed to have ended the call. Weird situation!

I get loads of annoying calls and usually just jot down the number and check it here, or just hang up as soon as I realise it’s one of those pest calls. Got a call about some washer insurance deal, so I said I’d cancelled it. Then they went on about getting better insurance for my Sky dish. I told them I don’t even have Sky! I then cheekily asked for their landline number so I could ring whenever I fancied - after all, if they have my number, why shouldn’t I have theirs? They just hung up on me, quite rude if you ask me!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Domestic and General, and unbelievably, they even knew the brand of my washing machine, which really freaked me out. I used to have insurance with them but let it lapse because it was too pricey. Might have to give D&G a ring to find out how these scammers got hold of my info.

Got a call from this number on Friday the 6th of December but couldn’t answer.

He started by mentioning something about my washing machine but didn’t get much further before I cut him off and told him to **** right off. The number’s blocked now.

Had a couple of calls today from different numbers, and get this - it was on a Sunday morning, of all times! The first one showed up at 08:42 from 01970 629386, which I ignored and left a note about it here. Later at 09:09, another call came through from this number. I decided to pick up out of sheer nosiness. A woman, sounding Asian, asked for me by name and started talking about my gas and electric provider. I told her straight away, "Really? Ringing on a Sunday morning? Total scam." Then I just hung up.

Got a call this morning around 9.20 from someone claiming to be David with Scottish Gas. He asked if I was (my name) and if I lived at (address). I told him I haven’t lived there for like seven years. Then, out of nowhere, he just cut the call. Bit odd to get that kind of call on a Sunday morning.

Somebody called saying they were from Smart Promotions, telling me I'd won £75 in vouchers. When I told her I’d never come across them before, she just got rude and ended the call. Another irritating scam, and honestly who knows what kind of trouble it could lead to.
