Isn't the Galashiels area code 01896? Yet, I've been spotting numbers beginning with 486 lately. Surely BT's aware of this change, but they're keeping quiet about it.

Got two calls from this number. I tried ringing back (might have been a dumb move), but the line seemed to be forwarded somewhere abroad. Then a robotic voice said “your call is very important, please hold for the next available agent” but didn’t say who the hell they were. Bit sketchy if you ask me.
