I called the Home Energy Centre and when I tried to find out their location in Galashiels, they told me they’re actually "just outside Glasgow." Bit misleading, if you ask me.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be Fiona with Home Energy, asking about my boiler’s age and my fuel expenses. When I gave her an answer, she reckoned mine sounded about normal. The call came on my landline, number was 01896242081.

Total scam, don’t trust it!

I got a call from a Galashiels number but it ended before I could answer. When I tried calling back, it went to voicemail but then said the mailbox was full and couldn't take any messages. Weird!

It looked like a local number calling but it wasn’t. Pretty sneaky way to get you to pick up!

I ended the call straight away but I could still hear loads of people talking in the background, so definitely from a call centre.
