Got a call from this number just now - some lady claiming she was from Ace Alliance, saying I’d been involved in a no fault accident (which I definitely haven’t). Told her to remove my number from their list and to stop calling, but she cut me off before I could finish. I’ve blocked the number now. These calls drive me mad - they just keep trying their luck hoping someone naive will chat and spill private details.

I was at work on 20/1/17 when the number 01895 931 659 called me. I couldn’t pick it up because of work, but decided to look the number up afterwards. Really glad I did - it’s clearly a scam, so I’ve gone ahead and blocked it.

Got a call from Ace Alliances asking if I’d had an accident. Honestly, I thought it was some kind of robot cos the answers were so slow when I said hello and asked about the accident. Only when I snapped back with “Are you some kind of f***ing moron or what?” did the reply sound normal. What a muppet! The caller was an English woman, btw.

Got a call from someone speaking with an Indian accent asking straight for me by name! When I asked who it was, he claimed to be from Microsoft and then went on about how they supposedly found 7 devices hacking into my home wifi. I told him I don’t have any Microsoft kit and to quit trying to scam us Brits. Then he just hung up.

Same here, someone with an Asian accent told me there were 6 new devices on my wifi. Funny thing is if you’ve got a couple of computers and some phones, you’ll easily have 6 devices on your network, so I reckon they pick that number to make you panic a bit. He did say the company he was calling from, but I couldn’t remember it after I hung up lol. I just told him “Thanks, I’ll change my router password,” which honestly if you’re not sure about these calls just do that yourself - don’t trust them to help or anything, it’s super simple to do on your own.

Got a call from some bloke in a really loud call centre in India, he claimed to be from a security firm but already had my name and phone number. He said 6 new gadgets were connected to my home wifi. I called him out right away, saying it was a scam, and he just dropped the call. This is the third time I’ve gotten one of these very similar scam calls.

Got a call from someone called Ashley claiming to be from Direct 1 and 1 Printers. He kept bombarding me with loads of questions about the printers we got in the office. Apparently, he promised to send over an England football shirt along with a printer catalogue or something. Could hear a lot of chatter in the background, was pretty noisy.

Got a call from some Indian firm claiming they want to remotely fix my computer - total scam! Don’t fall for it, just mess around and act like you’re playing along. Waste their time the same way they waste ours and chuck some nonsense back at them. They say they're calling from a London-based network but they're actually way out in Northern India!!! It’s not the cheapest con but honestly, it’s pretty entertaining if you know your way around networks like I do :D

Like others mentioned with an Indian accent, five other people on my internet said maybe neighbours using it. They said they were still online but i was out at work, would check when home. No one else on my wifi though. Caller said they'd ring back 10:00 am 26/01 but never did. Asked my security company and they said it was a scam and my info wasnt at risk.

I dropped a comment here back on 15 December and I've seen loads more comments popping up daily, maybe 4 or 5. Today I got another call, some story about 5 computers connected to mine or whatever. I just told the bloke I’d already read plenty about his bloody scam in the news and to piss off. What’s the use of all these angry comments if no one actually does anything about it?

Got a persistent bloke from India trying to get into my "Windows PC". He reckoned 7 new devices popped up on my wifi last night, and since he’s from “Microsoft support,” he got the alert. Weirdly, he even had my email and phone number. Total nonsense obviously, I’m all Macs here! Even if I did run Windows, there’s no way he’d know that stuff. I played along a bit to see what his angle was, but got bored and hung up after a couple minutes. It’s obvious how these muppets manage to creep into people’s lives to nick whatever they can. Proper prats.

I just got a call from this number, it showed up as an Uxbridge area code. The guy on the line, sounded Indian and said I had 6 devices hooked up to my internet. He claimed my network was compromised and wanted to get into the DOS prompt. I have to say, he kept his cool even when I responded in strong Anglo Saxon slang. Bet a lot of those words aren’t in his English to Hindi phrasebook. Hope he’s not an actual IT tech, cos if he is, somewhere in Uxbridge there's probably a very frustrated little bloke right now!

Got a call from this number but no one said a word. Lately, I've been getting a couple of calls daily from numbers showing as 'international' or 'unavailable'. Almost all of them just hang up without saying anything. It's so annoying coz you can't even tell them off properly. Yesterday was different - someone actually answered, so I acted like a 93-year-old Great Granny (I could hear them getting frustrated). When they asked for the "home-owner", I just told them "No".

I got a call like that too, telling me there were 6 devices on my Wi-Fi. Had the same one about two weeks ago, and then it happened again today. Best thing to do is just hang up quickly. Luckily, they haven’t been too pushy with me. I reckon they want to get remote access, probably to plant some malware or try to scam me for money if I kept talking. It’s such a pain.

I received a rather peculiar call from the number 01895809454. The chap on the other end introduced himself as 'William Beaver'-might as well have been Del Boy for all the credibility he had! He claimed to be affiliated with Microsoft in London and informed me that my computer had been compromised, with unknown individuals allegedly using my internet from abroad. He assured me he could sort out the issue. Thankfully, I'd already taken my computer in for some repairs, so I dodged that bullet!

Received two calls today from the same individual - they sounded Asian and I found it rather tricky to make sense of what they were saying. On the first attempt, they inquired whether I had added a computer to my internet connection recently. How bizarre! I ended up hanging up on them. The second call was brief; they simply asked if I was... and I decided to cut that short too by disconnecting. Quite the nuisance!

A guy rang me saying there was some kind of security issue with loads of people trying to access my computer. I quickly asked which company he was from and he just hung up straight away. Don’t even bother talking to these folk - it’s a common scam where they pretend to fix the problem by taking remote control of your PC. While they’re in, they either snoop about, delete important files, or plant dodgy software, then hit you with a hefty bill to fix the damage. JUST IGNORE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming to be from Dial Tech. He asked for me by name, and I said I was about to get myself, then quickly muted my phone since I've had this sort of call before (something about six people connected to your network, blah blah). They come across as just some online tech business that either scams people or just sorts out small problems that make your PC slow. Just like before about unauthorised access to the network, but honestly, this is the third time I’ve gotten this call now.

Got a call from an Indian chap named William who was asking if I shared my internet with the neighbours cos apparently 7 people used my email yesterday! I told him I wasn’t going to answer any of his questions but I’d keep him on the line just to waste his time and rack up his call charges! Didn’t take long before he gave up and hung up.

Got a call from an Indian lady named Sabina, her English was quite bad. Bit odd that she used my first name straight away! Told her to wait a moment while I checked who she was after (turns out it was me!). By the time I’d made a cuppa and some toast, the call had just dropped. No clue why. Is there anywhere we can report these dodgy numbers?

Some bloke with an Indian accent called, asking for me by my name. I was using six computers with neighbours at the same time! They mentioned security breaches and all that. I just ended the call and blocked the number, but these calls keep coming anyway.

I just went through something similar, this guy with an Indian accent called me sayin there were like five computers connected to my network and they were all stealng my passwords. He even knew my old email which I haven’t used in ages, but somehow had my phone number. He sounded really sure of himself. I can easily see him trickin a lot of folks.

I've received a couple of calls from this number, and the person on the other end was quite forceful. It left me with the impression that it might be a con artist at work.

Got a call from a lady with an Indian accent saying I'd installed new computers on my network, clearly a scam attempt so I just ended the call.

Does anyone know who rang me today around a quarter past one in the afternoon?

Just like others, got a call from this obvious scammer. Ended the call straight away. Funny they don’t hide their number at all. I’ve reported both the call and the number to Action Fraud. Maybe if loads of people did the same, the police and Action Fraud might actually take some action?

They’ve been ringing me loads, telling me about computers being added to a network. When I finally said I thought it was a scam, the woman on the other end got mad and just cut the call.

Got a call this morning from a bloke with a strong foreign accent, his English was awful. He claimed to be from some tech company working for Microsoft and asked if I was unknowingly sharing my wifi. I said no, that I've got Norton to keep me safe. Then he asked if I had bought a bunch of tech stuff yesterday, which I denied. He insisted I’d ordered five computers. I told him straight away he was trying to con me and ended the call. I also rang my bank to report it, they put a note on my account and told their fraud team.

Got a call from an Indian guy who said his name was William. He claimed there were 5 new computers connected to my network and even used my first name right away. I told him I don't actually have a computer, just my phone. He said he’d note that down. Quite a strange call!

a man with an indian accent rang up saying my computer was compromised 5 times by hackers or whatever. when i tried to ask a few things to check if it was legit, he just cut me off. he somehow had my phone number and even my email which freaked me out! honestly, the only real fix is to make it unlawful for companies to make any calls without you asking for them first. that would stop these scams dead.

Got a call from some bloke claiming there was an issue with my internet, but I don’t even have one. Told him to sod off and ended the call. He used my first name, which was a bit strange.

I just had a call from a guy with a strong Indian accent asking if I'd recently connected six computers to my wifi network. I said yes, and he suddenly seemed quite uninterested and just ended the call - really impolite. This is actually the second time I've got calls like this. They even know my name and my phone number which I find quite unsettling!

bloody ridiculous. got a call from some woman claiming my pc was about to blow up and that my missus was about to start fancying ladies again. i started chatting to her in a thick scottish accent mixed with a bit of caribbean slang. asked what she was wearing and told her she had a lovely voice. she cut off quick when i invited her to have some phone fun with my dog. scammers like these deserve nothing but utter disrespect. absolute scumbags preying on the elderly. makes me wonder if she even bothers to shave her pits...???

I got a call from a woman with an Indian accent claiming she was from a firm named something like "Fast Tech." She told me that six devices had been linked to my wi-fi and said my computer supposedly had a program that notifies them each time a new device joins my network. I didn't give her any details and kept asking what she was talking about, and then she just ended the call.

Got a call like loads of others here, some bloke with an Indian accent said there were 4 computers connected to my network overnight. He tried to guide me through checking it, but got a bit narked when I said I knew how already. Seriously, when will someone put an end to these muppets?

Got a call earlier from a man with an Indian accent saying my WiFi showed some dodgy stuff happening. I said I’m a techie and can sort it out alone, which seemed to wind him up proper. I told him cheers for the heads up but I’d handle it, and he just got even more annoyed. Well, he can shove that where the sun don’t shine!

Like loads of folks here, I got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent who weirdly knew my name. He started on about adding six devices to my network or something like that. I just told him I'm on the TPS list, and he hung up sharpish.

I got a call claiming I could get a free football top, but then they switched to trying to push ink cartridges on me. They asked me to send an email to [email protected] The website they mentioned was something like 121products, which seemed really dodgy. Honestly, I doubt anything about this firm is genuine!

Dodgy scammers targeting older (no disrespect) folks who aren’t so tech savvy, tricking them into giving remote access to their computers so they can plant viruses and snoop through personal files. Afterwards, they demand cash (and bank info) to sort it out. If you’re daft enough to let them in and mess things up, just switch off your router and take your computer to a proper repair shop for a clean-up.

Got a call from an Indian guy giving dodgy info, said there were 5 users using my network. Told me to run some cdm thing and showed me a list with charges that looked similar. Proper scary if you don't know any better, but they can't just charge that way since my account blocks anything extra over my plan. Totally a scam, no doubt.

Today I got hit with the same kind of scam call that everyone’s talking about here. Weirdly, it came through on my mobile. Since hardly anyone’s got this number, I’m thinking they just dialled it by chance because they didn’t even say my name.

They called me once saying there was a problem with my computer, but I told them straight up there was nothing wrong and that it sounded like a total scam. Since then I’ve had a few more calls from them, but every time I pick up, they just hang up. I’ve finally blocked the number now. It really annoys me how they get away with this kind of thing!

Just got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent asking if I’d been trying to install Windows on my PC yesturday. The weird part was he actually knew my name, which freaked me out since I have no clue where he got it from. I told him I don’t discuss security stuff with anyone, especially when I never called them or asked for help, then I hung up straight away.

I got a call from this number, 01895809453, and it was one of those dodgy call centres from India. They said my computer was hacked, which is kinda funny since they’re the ones trying to trick you. Then they started asking for £200 to “fix” the problem - absolute scam. There wasn’t any hacking going on. These guys were even featured on BBC’s Watchdog for scamming people! Seriously, don’t give them a penny!

Back on the 12th of February 2015, I got a ring from 01895 809453. Some bloke with an Indian accent was telling me my computer had five security breaches. I just said alright, cheers, and hung up. Seems like a scam to me - better be careful out there.

What a joke, this so-called scammer! Honestly, mate, why don’t you get an actual job instead of phoning about nonsense? Next time, maybe try asking for someone who's actually alive in the house, not someone who's passed away. And as for your supposed 5pc AV, there’s nothing here, so shove it, idiot!

This number rang me a few times over the past week - three times if I remember right. Curiosity got the better of me so I did a quick search online and stumbled upon this website. I didn’t pick up any of the calls, and after seeing what others said here, it’s clear it was some sort of scam. Have gone ahead and blocked the number now.

01895809453 called me again today on both my mobile and landline, which isn't a number I give out. Same story, said 6 people hacked my computer. I told him, just like yesterday, it's already being sorted. He tried to arrange a call when it was fixed, but I said I'd ring him back and asked for his number. He quickly said they’re too busy and he’d ring me instead. I told him I’d contact the shop dealing with it and not to bother calling me again. He then asked when he could call, but I just repeated NO calls from you.

Today, some woman rang me up claiming that there was a bunch of computers - like six of them - trying to get into my network around 6.25 in the evening. She wanted me to check my computer settings with her. When I asked what the call was about, she said it related to some software protection I'd supposedly got on my PC. She even knew my email address, which made it a bit convincing at first, but honestly, watch out for these sorts of calls!

Had a ring from this number earlier today, answered with "morning" instead of my usual hello (figured it might be my mum). They just dropped the call without a word, so I looked up the number. Turns out it’s one of those scams going about around here - loads of folks on Facebook have mentioned it. Honestly, I’m glad they cut off. If they call back, I’m handing the phone to one of my kids to chat nonsense at them!
