It's so annoying, I keep receiving calls from some 'BT technical department' about problems with my internet. Drives me mad.

Got a call from someone saying they were from BT, telling me my router was being slowed down by a virus. At first, the bloke wouldn't say he was from BT, then when I told him I wasn’t a BT customer, he just ended the call.

Received a call from this number, and every time it’s the same monotonous voice bidding farewell. Quite peculiar, really.

I asked “Harry” where they were accessing my router from since I don't even own one, and then the call just suddenly cut off! Pretty clear to me they’re scammers.

I keep receiving calls throughout the day-morning, afternoon, and night, it’s quite relentless. When I do manage to pick up, there's just an awkward pause before an articulate woman’s voice chirps, “Goodbye,” and the line goes dead. Quite peculiar, really!

I got a call from a woman speaking with an Asian accent, claiming she was from BT’s technical support. I immediately said BT doesn’t actually call folks like that, which I reckon she knew too. She ended up cutting the call right away.

I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent who claimed she was with BT. She told me someone was trying to hack into my PC through the internet and offered to fix it while I watched and used my computer. I told her I worked for BT’s fraud department and that the call was recorded. Right after that, she just ended the call, which caught me off guard.

This morning, I got a call from someone saying he was Mr Robertson from BT. It sounded a bit odd because I’ve never met a Robertson speaking with such a thick Asian accent. I just told him he was lying and ended the call.

Received a call from a withheld number earlier today but they didn't bother to leave a message. Shortly after, my phone lit up with 01895745821 calling, only for that one to also hang up without saying a word. We've got a BT Call Guardian set up at home, so it filters all incoming calls. The caller must first announce themselves before it rings through to me. I then have the option to pick up, let it go to voicemail, or just block it outright. Quite handy, really!

Got a call from a withheld number on my BT Call Guardian, which usually screens all incoming calls before I pick up. When it went to voicemail, I just hung up. Then, the phone buzzed again a minute later from 01895745821, and the same thing happened. Tried ringing the number back but it’s just always busy. Looking at the other comments, pretty clear this is just a scam.

Each time I answer, there’s nothing but silence, followed by a voice cutting off with a ‘goodbye’. Classic scam tactics, if you ask me.

Not sure who it was, so I looked up the number. Tried calling back but no answer and they didn’t leave any message. We do have call guarding now since we used to get loads of pointless calls from foreign numbers selling stuff or asking about computers and all that. After reading other people’s experiences, I reckon this is just another one of those annoying sales calls.

Some bloke with an Asian accent called me pretending to be a scammer trying to get my Apple ID and password. I told him I stored them in an online folder and gave him a made-up link: www.sfo.gsi.gov.uk. He freaked out and ended the call straightaway.

Why on earth the TPS cant stop these calls is beyond me. Lately, I’ve found myself constantly using this website just to figure out who’s ringing. There’s just too many annoying calls coming through these days.

Today I got called two times, once at 10.44am and again at 11.07am, both times the caller said they were from BT. The first caller was a woman, the next a man, both sounded like they had Asian accents. Last week I chatted with BT about these kinds of calls and they said if I can give them the phone numbers and call times when the number isn’t hidden, they’ll try to track down who’s behind it. They also asked me to report any calls where the number’s blocked.

Sounds like one of those scams again where they try to trick you into letting them access your computer, claiming there’s something wrong with your internet or modem.
