Just got a call today 7/1/2021 where someone said they’d cut my internet off if I didn’t press a button to talk to their operations team. I ended up hanging up straight away and blocked the number since it sounded dodgy.

Picked up once and this bloke with a weird accent kept saying he was from some firm called ‘Save the Date’. I told him I was at work and asked if it was really important since I’d never come across them before. He got really rude and moody about it. A lady finally answered after a bit of silence. When I asked what she was calling for, she said she wasn’t trying to sell me anything. Claimed it was some kind of survey about loft insulation. I told her I wasn’t interested and tried to end the call politely, but she just kept going on and on, even when I was clearly trying to hang up.

Got a call out the blue about my loft insulation being apparently unsafe fibreglass, supposedly a government warning. He wanted to pop over tomorrow for a look. I said I’d check with my council first, but he reckoned they wouldn’t know anything. Told him if it really was dangerous the council should be in the loop. Hung up on him in the end, seemed dodgy, so just a heads up to others.
