this morning i got a call from 01156528947, the caller with an indian accent said my car had been in an accident and it wasn’t my fault. when i asked where exactly he was calling from, he said they had an office on oxford street, london. but he couldn’t give me any proper london contact number and just ended the call. i tried ringing 01156528947 back but it said ‘unrecognised number’. the guy mentioned something called ‘smith care comfort’. is there anyone here who’s already reported this to the police?

just got a call from some auto system about a car accident claim, totally fake. no point trying to talk back, best thing is to hang up straight away. block the number too and make sure to report it to the ico. don't waste your time with these scams!

Well, it seems SMITH doesn’t really CARE enough to help me feel COMFORTable after the tinnitus I've been suffering since that car incident!
THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE A WEBSITE OR A PROPER REGISTRATION WITH COMPANIES HOUSE, so now I'm completely at a loss.

I got a call from someone saying, “Hello, this is Jane from Smith's Care Comfort.” I asked, “Smith's who exactly?” She told me they’d heard I’d had a car accident that wasn’t my fault. I said, “Sorry, what company did you say again?” She just replied, “Alright, thanks for confirming,” then hung up. Honestly, Smith’s care comfort doesn't seem very caring - they didn’t even do much about the ringing in my ear since the crash. Plus, a quick search showed they don’t have a website or any official registration, so now I’m just left with nowhere to turn.

I got a voicemail from a woman saying I'd been in an accident that wasn't my fault and that they could help me with a claim.
