I received a recorded message from a female voice claiming to be from the Inland Revenue, urging me to return the call to an 0203 number. They stressed that ignoring the call could lead to legal proceedings. This kind of communication could truly unsettle someone who’s already feeling vulnerable. Absolutely appalling!

Got a dodgy call claiming to be from BT, saying my internet connection wasn’t safe and would be cut off within 24 hours. They tried to get me to open Teamviewer. Ended up wasting over 15 minutes on the phone. How come these scammers are still allowed to use Uxbridge numbers to rip people off whenever they like?

Got a call from an Asian guy claiming to be from Sky, saying they’re doing SIM card upgrades and would send one out in a few days. He asked loads of personal info. When I wouldn’t give it, he passed me to a woman who said she was his boss trying to convince me. I just hung up.

This number rang me today at precisely 2:15 PM. An Asian woman named Jennifer claims she’s from BT. I asked her rather politely for her surname, hoping to verify her identity with BT directly. Strangely enough, she refused to give me her surname and instead started chuckling away. I pointed out her laughter and asked if my question was proving too challenging for her. At that point, she transferred me to a colleague who introduced himself as "Johnny." I inquired about his surname, to which he rather eagerly responded, “Johnny Blaze”-how imaginative! I then mentioned my intention to contact BT myself, at which point he asked when they could ring me back. I replied, if he genuinely works for BT, they should be able to put me through to him when I reach out to them, shouldn’t they, Johnny Blaze?

I got an automated voicemail saying there’s a big lawsuit coming my way and I need to call back right away with some reference number for a certain department. Of course, I dialled 1471 to check the caller ID, then looked up the number online and stumbled on this site. After reading the other comments, it’s clear this is a scam. I wouldn’t bother phoning back unless you wanna get ripped off!

An Indian chap rang me claiming that someone was attempting to breach my router. He inquired if I could spare him a quick ten minutes. I had just stepped out of the shower and required a bit of time, so I requested him to ring back later while I looked into the number he'd called from. No way will I be picking up next time!

Got a call from some Asian bloke claiming to be from BT saying they’d cut my broadband off for 10 days. Wanted me to stay on my PC and hand over details. Don’t fall for these scammers. I’ve blocked this number already. Keep in mind, BT would never ring you out of the blue like that. If there’s ever an issue, you’d have to deal with it yourself and they wouldn't just switch off your internet for over a week.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from BT, but I’m not even a BT customer. The guy sounded Asian and said he was from their tech team. When I asked for more details and mentioned I thought it might be some dodgy scam, he just ended the call. He kept saying they were gonna cut off my service for 6 days because my IP was sending loads of malicious files. We never really got past that point. Suspicious as heck.

Got a call just now. They asked for the homeowner and then claimed my boiler could be swapped out for a new one. Used to waste my time chatting with these muppets but honestly, what’s the use? Told him to get lost and hung up. I’m on the TPS, so when will some government bod, no matter the party, actually do anything about it? This has been going on for ages. It’s a UK number too, so surely the regulator or someone responsible can crack down on these bloody nuisances.

I've truly had enough of this persistent number ringing my phone! I've repeatedly informed them that the individual they're seeking doesn't reside at this address and requested them to remove my details from their records. The behaviour of the man who spoke to my husband yesterday was absolutely shocking - he practically issued a threat, claiming he would continue to call and questioning what my husband intended to do about it. This nonsense really must come to an end!
