I got a call from Virgin about a complaint I put in a while ago about their prices going up. At first, I spoke to someone whose English seemed a bit off and was hard to get, then I was passed on to another lady who just said she couldn’t do anything to sort it out. Honestly, the whole call felt like a waste of time. I told her that, and she started getting a bit defensive, so I just hung up.

Got two calls from this number, just a few mins apart. Didn’t know who it was so I didn’t pick up, hoping they’d leave a voicemail. But both times, no message. I’m really tired of getting calls from people pretending to be Virgin. They usually ring when I’m out, and never leave a voicemail. I ended a Virgin subscription about a month ago, but the scam calls haven’t stopped since. When I tried calling this number back, it said it was unrecognised. I’ve blocked them on my mobile, but sadly not on my landline yet. One day I want to catch them just to tell them to buzz off. Anyway, I don’t regret ditching Virgin at all. Seems like they’re handing over numbers to dodgy firms - apparently in India.

Claiming to be from Virgin, this bloke was really cheeky and obviously trying to scam me, asking for my passwords and stuff. When I started asking questions, he just got even more nasty. I tried ringing the number back but it just wouldn’t connect. Proper worrying that he already knew my name and where I lived!

They said it was Virgin Media calling. I had already logged an issue with my setup, so nobody else could have been aware of the fault apart from Virgin. I shared three letters from my password when they asked to verify my ID, which I thought was fine since that’s the purpose of the check. They admitted the problem was on their side and said sorry. It was a perfectly alright call, no worries at all.

This number rang me on both my mobile and landline. Turned out to be Virgin Media, calling back about my complaint regarding my internet always dropping out. The person on the line seemed more keen on dodging the issue than actually helping, and was pretty rude - I had to remind him a couple of times that that’s no way to talk to a paying customer. Pretty much your typical Virgin Media "support" experience.

Virgin Media called me. I’d rang them the day before and it was the same person I talked to on their customer service. This sounds like one of their call centres and seems alright but I’d suggest putting them through extra security checks, like messing up the security answers a couple of times before giving the correct one.

somebody with a really strong foreign accent rang me claiming to be from virgin media. they said there was an issue with my phone setup which is due to happen this week. they then asked me for three letters from my password, which sounded dodgy. i told them i was going to hang up and would call virgin media myself. i already spoke to virgin yesterday to double-check the installation info. sounds like a scam to me but i'll see what happens in a few days.
