This number called me on Friday 7th October at around 6.50pm. A lady, calling herself Julie, asked if I’d been in any kind of accident. I explained that I once fractured my colon falling over a banana skin, but that was ages ago and now I’m allergic to bananas. She then asked for my name, so I said Mr Peacock. When she wanted my first name, I said I was named Drew. She repeated my full name, then suddenly the call just cut off.

A lady called claiming to be from Sigma Advice or something, asking about a car crash I supposedly had that wasn’t my fault. Thing is, I don’t even drive, but I thought I’d humour her for a bit. Fair enough though, once I told her that she quickly said sorry and said she’d remove me from their calls. That’s nice, cos I really can’t stand it when scammers aren’t even courteous.

Got a call from some young girl with a really nice voice, asking about an accident I supposedly had not long ago. I kept asking her how she even got my number, but all she did was apologise for bothering me and wished me a good day. How come these sorts of people end up working for firms like this? It’s well dodgy.

Heads up: this is definitely a scam. If you pick up, they mark your number as 'ACTIVE' and trust me, once it’s flagged like that, they’ll sell and share your mobile with loads of other marketing companies. Be careful!

Some woman called to ask if I’d been in a crash and when I said yes, this bloke with a really strong Indian accent started asking loads of questions. Within about three and a half minutes, I ended up telling him that I’d lost both me eyeballs after being hit from behind by a huge white van with NASA written on the side, all while I was driving at about 180mph. Then he wanted me car registration, so I gave it as NCC1701 and said the vehicle was an Enterprise. Funny thing is, he never even asked my name, which was just, honestly, a big missed opportunity. Shhaaammmmeeee! Khaaaannnnn!!!
