I ignored the call from this number as I suspected it was just another cold caller, but credit where it’s due, they were persistent! My phone kept ringing for what felt like forever. Thankfully, I could mute it by turning it face down. Even after checking multiple times, they didn’t hang up - still hopeful I’d pick up. My phone’s battery app even warned me about the rapid drain from all that ringing. Normally I’d block numbers like this straight away, but I’ve added this one as Julie Smith just to mess around if they call again.

It’s really frustrating because I’m completely deaf and can’t hear the caller at all, but my phone keeps flashing constantly to tell me there’s a call, which is super annoying. Even my dog’s gone barking because of it! That number showed up in my missed calls, so I looked it up here and I’m happy to say this site helped me block it.

Got a call from a different number but same caller, Julia from Sigma Insurance, about a non-fault car crash. I asked when it happened, she just kept repeating her question, so I asked again. Then she said she’d take my number off their list. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now. It was an Uxbridge area code as well.

Had a call from a Julie Smith, said she was from some company called Sigma Advice or something, claiming someone told them I was involved in a car crash that wasn’t my fault. When I asked who told them that, she quickly said she’d take my number off their list. Total scammy rubbish and such a waste of time. My teenage lad got a call on his phone while he was working miles away from home, asking about a family member supposedly hurt in an accident. He was absolutely distraught, couldn't reach any of us on our mobiles or home phones, and was convinced something awful had happened. He couldn’t focus on his job after that call, got all stressed out and, sadly, ended up losing the job because of it. Honestly, if I ever caught the person behind that fake call, I’d be well up for giving them a good telling off or even taking legal action.

Some woman rang me claiming I had cash to get back from PPI. She told me I didn’t need to share any info, then said she knew I had a card with Capital One (which I do, so I kept listening). She mentioned I had a 5k limit, which I definitely don’t. Then she said she’d put me through to someone to verify my address (which she read out to me), and I just laughed and told her it was a scam. She snapped back, telling me to f##k off and hung up!

I’m dealin with the same issue. My partner had an accident and I was sorting it out with a different company when these people started calling constantly. They were really dodgy about telling me who they were working for. After I got in touch with them, thankfully they stopped bothering her.
