Had a call from a guy who said he was with BT, talking about my internet. I actually am a BT customer, but they've never rung me up about my internet before. Its usually pretty hard to get them to pick up any calls about stuff like that. This bloke was a clear scammer, proper cheeky and straight up dodgy. When I tried to add his number to BT's Call Protect, the system didn’t even recognise it as real. Definitely not legit!

Got calls from 01894 857761 and also 001 0112. Both times just ended with them saying goodbye. Complete time wasters, really annoying!

today i got a call from a woman with a clear asian accent claiming she was with BT and said there’d been a bunch of issues with my bt service recently. i told her i was pretty surprised since we’d just been away on holiday for the past couple of weeks and hadn’t even touched the account, figured it was some kind of scam so i just hung up on her.

i got a call on my home phone and all i heard was silence at first. then a guy asked if i was mrs. ####, and when i said yes, he claimed to be from bt talking about my internet on the computer. i was suspicious straight away since my internet provider isn’t bt. i told him i don’t even have a computer and that i knew it was a scam, then i just ended the call.

got a call that showed a bristol number but the accent was nowhere near local. the woman said she was from bt and that someone tried hacking my pc, asked me to log in. found it a bit fishy, had a laugh with her and just ended the call. guess she was off to try the same on someone else clueless. blocked the number now but bet they’ll just use another fake one soon enough. really curious how many of these bogus bt calls get any actual attention from them?

When I answered, all I got was a click, then some robot voice said "goodbye" and the call ended.
