Dodgy number, tried calling back but it said the number isn’t valid. Why bother if they’re not going to leave a voicemail when you don’t pick up? Totally pointless!

So I picked up and heard this robotic woman saying she was from Amazon Prime telling me my subscription was about to renew. Thing is, I don’t even have Prime, so I figured it was some kind of scam. I just ignored the whole thing and blocked the number straight away. No point in arguing with them.

Today (4th June) at about 8.10am I got a recorded call from 01892 833976 saying something about my Amazon Prime renewing. Then, later at 10.15am, I got another automated message from 01788 810001 with the same Amazon Prime renewal spiel. Problem is, I’ve never signed up for Amazon Prime! Definitely added both those numbers to my blocked list now.

Got a call from this number saying something about our Amazon Prime TV subscription ending. The weird thing is, we don’t even have Amazon Prime TV! They told me to press 1 to talk to someone. Since then, they’ve rung a few more times. I’m thinking of blocking them. Watch out, it seems dodgy!

Got a ring earlier but ignored it. Rang 1471 to check who it was - came up with a local number, 01892 833976. Had a look through my contacts but couldn’t find the number anywhere. A quick Google search showed the number had only just been activated today and was making calls all over the UK.
