Some woman rang claiming she was with Amazon's verification team about a gift card I supposedly bought yesterday, but apparently ‘the addresses didn’t match’. She kept asking what kind of Wi-Fi I was on and when I checked my Amazon account, there was no sign of any gift card purchase at all. She was speaking so quick it was hard to catch what she was saying. When I tried to slow her down and get her to explain properly, she just carried on like I wasn’t there, so in the end I had to shout at her to be quiet. You could tell she was in a call centre by the background noise too.
