Got a couple of calls right after 8 this morning. The lady on the line had an accent, seemed like English wasn’t her first language, and she called me by my name. I told her she had the wrong person, but she just accused me of lying! When I asked what company she was with, she said they were from some windows tech support or something.

This number kept ringing me multiple times, even calling back straight after I ended the call. You could hear loads of noise in the background, almost like a hectic call centre with people chatting non-stop. The voices were a mix of men and women, all speaking with really clear Indian accents. I’ve gone ahead and blocked it now.

Got a call on my landline from a woman speaking with a foreign accent. She claimed to be from Windows and said my computer had security alerts. I don’t have a computer! She wanted me to switch it on, which I said no to straight away. Afterwards, she said I had to choose between opening it or having it blocked in 15 minutes. I called back right away. It’s been half an hour now and everything’s fine.

Got a call at 7.30 on a Saturday from someone with an Indian accent, ringing my elderly folks twice and disturbing their sleep. Mum's just had surgery and really shouldn't be bothered like that. I picked up the second time and gave them a quick, sharp answer. The cheeky woman then said I wasn’t loud enough for her to hear me!! This kind of nonsense should seriously be sorted by Trading Standards and the cops. Unreal.

This definitely felt like a dodgy scam. A woman told me something was wrong with my computer. I asked her for her name, her phone number, and the company she was working for. She said she’d only give me that info after I’d heard her out. When I kept pressing, she said she wasn’t allowed to share those details. So, I just hung up.

Just like the other stories here, I got a call from a woman named Mary, sounded Indian, claiming to be from Windows support. She said my PC had some dodgy activity going on. Then she passed me to a "supervisor" who actually gave me my computer’s licence number to prove it was legit. Things got pretty intense between us. I haven’t even turned my computer on and have already blocked that number on my phone.

Got a call from a woman who sounded Indian and wasn’t happy at all when I didn’t want to play along! I told her “No thanks” and hung up. I kept getting calls from them, about seven times, all claiming to be from some network security team. After a while, I played along and told them to guide me through stuff on my computer. They kept going on about hackers and illegal stuff happening. They made me check the event viewer and all these errors they said were proof of bad stuff. Then they told me to open a run box and type in "Romeo Umbrella November". That’s when I admitted I knew it was all fake. Felt good to mess with them for a good 35 minutes!

This person keeps ringing nonstop and is quite bold about it. The moment you end the call, they dial right back. If you actually answer, they quickly transfer you to some ‘supervisor’ who wants you to turn on your computer to fix some big issue they’re warning you about!! I ended the call twice but they called again right away, asking why I’d hung up. Honestly, it was pretty irritating, and that’s not like me at all. Best to avoid them altogether - it’s clear they’re just trying to scam you.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent saying he was from the "Network Security Department". Unlike the usual, no word about Windows this time. I decided to act daft and as if I couldn’t hear properly, which understandably annoyed him quite a bit. Then I just burst out laughing at the whole thing, and that clearly wasn't what he expected. He ended up hanging up pretty quick.

I received a call claiming to be regarding my Windows PC being compromised by hackers. They mispronounced my name, which was quite amusing, so I ended the conversation. To my surprise, they rang again almost immediately. This time, a woman named "Jennifer" - definitely not a typical name from the Asian community - insisted that hanging up wasn't the right approach. So, in a rather humorous turn of events, I placed the phone down on the table, letting her prattle on to herself. I wandered off for about five minutes and, when I returned, she had finally decided to call it a day.
