Like some others have said, these folks called me saying there was a serious issue with my computer. They claimed to be working for ‘Windows’, but when I kept pressing them about whether they were from Microsoft, they got really jittery and a bit pushy. I’d suggest just hanging up straight away, this number sounds dodgy and the accent made me think it was one of those call centres in India trying a scam.

Someone called and wanted me to log onto my computer to give them my info. They kept me on the line for about 5 minutes. Eventually I told them I'm not bothered since I work in IT and know better.

Totally a scam, I had this bloke chatting to me for about 35 minutes before he twigged that I had no link to ‘google’. Fingers crossed I stopped him from fooling some poor, less tech-savvy folks who might’ve been tricked!

I continually received calls from a chap claiming there was a virus on my computer and insisted that I go through a series of checks with him. He had an Indian accent and eventually handed me a different number, 0800 0314014, yet that wasn't the number he was contacting me from. He kept prattling on about issues with my computer, to which I replied that the only problem I had was him incessantly calling me! I just wanted him to do one thing: leave me alone!
