It's clearly a scam, as BT wouldn’t randomly ring you up to terminate your service without giving prior notice through emails or letters. Furthermore, have you ever attempted to contact BT's UK technical support? It’s an absolute nightmare! There’s no way it’d be so straightforward to just hit 1 to get through to them.
