got a call saying it was from bt, keep pressing buttons or my internet would go down - i’m actually with sky tho. tried calling the number back, but it wouldn’t go through. definitely a scam, stay away!

I just received a dodgy call on my home phone from what sounded like an automated system pretending to be British Telecom. They told me to press a few buttons to keep my internet connection from being cut off, but I’m actually with Sky! I hung up straight away and tried to call the number back, only to discover it was ‘NOT RECOGNISED’. Total scam - steer clear of this nonsense!
