Got a text from this number twice in less than a minute. Pretty strange, especially since I’d only been emailing the local health service in Dublin. Felt a bit iffy when they asked for details and told me to ring 1890252919 for any questions. Definitely smelled like a scam to me.

Totally a scam, no doubt. Got a text saying "Please call immediately about your application?" and it showed this number. But there was no company or institution named anywhere, so how do I know who I’m even supposed to ring back? Plus, it came from "Free Text" - whenever I get automated messages from my doctor or official places, they always say who it’s from. Why would this one just say Free Text? Feels really dodgy to me.

What really gives it away is when they never say who they actually are or what official group they belong to.
