I got a call from someone claiming to be with BT about my internet. I ended the call and blocked the number straight away as it seemed dodgy to me. There’s been loads of these calls lately, though they had quietened down for a while, so I forgot my usual trick of just picking up and staying silent. When I do that or let it reach the answerphone, they hang up, but if you answer and talk back, they launch into their sales pitch. Honestly, it’s disgraceful. We’re both in our seventies but luckily still sharp, though plenty of others aren’t.
