Once again, I've been plagued by an unwelcome call on my mobile! For a solid 15 years, I’ve enjoyed a peaceful existence without any pesky telemarketers or nuisance calls, as my number is strictly reserved for family and close friends. However, it appears that some software has now managed to latch onto my details. This is the fourth time in just two days that I’ve had to firmly reject and block a number using my phone settings. What a bother! If you’re ever left confused by a phone call that abruptly hangs up, it’s usually because the caller is trying to reach multiple people at once. Whoever picks up first gets the attention - the rest are just left in the lurch. A bit of advice: if you don’t recognise the number, simply don’t pick up, as answering confirms to them that they’ve got a live one here. Before you know it, they might be back for more - which is, frankly, infuriating. Hope this helps someone avoid the same hassle!

Yet another bothersome call on my mobile - it's quite unbelievable! For the last 15 years, I've managed to avoid telemarketers and such, as my number has only been shared with close family. It appears that the algorithm hunting for active numbers has finally stumbled upon mine. This marks the fourth call I've had to dismiss in just two days. How tiresome! For those puzzled by calls where there's nobody on the other end, it's likely because the caller is ringing multiple people at once. The first person to pick up gets their attention, while the rest get cut off. My advice? If you don’t recognise the number, don’t pick up! Once you do, they’ve definitely clocked your number as active, and you can bet they’ll be back to ring you repeatedly. I’m sure you see where this is going!

I got a call from someone saying they were with my insurance firm. I asked them for a reference number to ring them up later, but they just dropped the call.
