For those puzzled by calls where there's nobody on the other end, it's likely because the caller is ringing multiple people at once. The first person to pick up gets their attention, while the rest get cut off. My advice? If you don’t recognise the number, don’t pick up! Once you do, they’ve definitely clocked your number as active, and you can bet they’ll be back to ring you repeatedly. I’m sure you see where this is going!

I got a call from someone saying they were with my insurance firm. I asked them for a reference number to ring them up later, but they just dropped the call.
