Over the past week I've had three calls like this, and annoyingly two came in before 8 in the morning! One call was from a withheld number. Each time it was an automated message from a woman speaking with an American accent claiming to be from Amazon Prime. It's clearly a scam. The local paper reported that folks around here have lost more than £70,000 after handing over their Amazon passwords. Why isn't Amazon tackling this mess?

Got a voicemail today that was one of those automated messages telling me my Amazon Prime subscription was about to renew.
