I answered the call but there was no one there. So I decided to check the number online and found out it was actually one of those scam calls.

Someone called saying they got my info from a solicitor handling claims about car finance. They knew my name, so I asked about the years involved and they said between 2007 and 2022. I then questioned how they got my details since I used a different surname for most of that time, but they didn’t have an answer. When I asked which car it concerned, they said they couldn’t check but then mentioned a Peugeot I supposedly owned. I told them I never had a Peugeot and that I wasn’t going to fall for their scam, and then they just hung up on me.
