Honestly, this service is real. When you’re struggling to pay your utility bills, you can apply for help and they’ll even ask if you need any appliances. We tried ringing Eon to check, but they had no clue about it. Don’t just ignore it or you might lose a good chance.

This company emailed me and then rang my mobile claiming they were dropping off a fridge freezer next Monday. I told them I never ordered anything, and they insisted it was a promotion from British Gas. I rang British Gas myself and they said they’re not involved at all. Just a heads up, these lot had my full name, address and phone number.

I got a call about a cooker delivery I never asked for. The ringtone sounded odd, and when I called back, no one picked up. Earlier that day, I’d received a text saying they were looking to deliver something - totally fishy, so I’m just going to ignore it.

I wouldn’t say it’s dodgy, it’s actually a firm that handles deliveries of fridge/freezers for the North Yorkshire Local Assistance Fund. Usually, an organisation applies for the person in need. They can’t just turn up without a proper address. Maybe the agency mixed up the phone number for the client?

Sounded like they were hunting for someone, kept pressing for an address, even tho they just had a name and phone number. Said it was for delivering a “fridge freezer” supposedly from the council, which seemed a bit off. Told them no one’s really chasin that kind of thing from the council... Felt dodgy to me, probably some debt collector or lawyer chasing unpaid stuff.
