A woman with a foreign accent rang, purporting to be from BT, inquiring about our internet service. This is the second time this week that I’ve received such a call. It's clearly a scam. She wouldn’t provide a number for me to return her call.

Called twice before 8 this morning, but there was nobody on the line.

Somebody rang up pretending to be from BT tech support, saying they’ve had loads of fault reports and asking how many lights are showing on my router. I told them if the router’s no good, just send me a new one, that’s fine. They kept asking about the lights again, so I said just send a new router but first tell me my account number for security. They then said they’re from the accounts team, not tech, which confused me. I asked how they knew who I was if they can’t even give me my account number. After that, the call just dropped. Later, I got two more calls from the same number.

had like six calls since early this morning, starting around 7.20. most of them were just silent, but one bloke said he was from sky. another one just hung up straight away when i told him he’d woken me up. quite annoying really.
