Got a call from 01887480384 claiming to be Amazon - total scam! Best thing is to just end the call and report it if you can. Problem is, seeing how many folks have flagged it here, it seems like no ones really doing much to shut these tricksters down.

Some lady named Maria rang me, sounding like she was calling from miles away or somewhere foreign. She asked if I owned a Microsoft computer. I told her I didn’t, but she insisted that I did. After I repeated no, she warned me my computer would get blocked. Honestly, it sounds like a pathetic scammer trying to trick people.

I got a call from a bloke speaking with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft. He told me there was some suspicious activity on my account and asked me to jot down a code, which I did. After hanging up, I looked into whether Microsoft actually calls you like that, and it turns out they don't. The same number phoned me again two more times. I told the guy what I'd found out, but he kept insisting on my name. My husband eventually grabbed the phone and told the guy off pretty firmly, then ended the call. Thankfully, no calls since.

I received a call from someone with an Indian accent, pretending to be from Amazon's customer support. They informed me that there had been some suspicious activity concerning my Amazon account, supposedly originating from the USA. Then, they insisted that I download a particular software so they could remotely check my account for any signs of hacking. I flat-out refused, at which point the caller became quite aggressive and abruptly ended the call.

I got a call on my home phone from this number claiming someone had just opened an Amazon Prime with my bank info. They said I had to get on my laptop so they could guide me on cancelling it. Total scam. I kept telling the lady she was lying but she wouldn’t back down. Eventually, I told her to quit trying to trick folks, and she told me to shut up before cutting me off.

Got a call from a bloke with a thick Indian accent who said his name was Eric Wilson. He claimed someone had signed me up for this "Amazon Prime Premium" deal costing nearly £80 a month. When I asked where he was calling from, he said Amazon, and then asked if I wanted to cancel it. I told him there’s no such thing as Amazon Prime Premium, only the usual Amazon Prime at about £8. I said I’d double check online, and as soon as I said that, he just cut the call. Just another dodgy scammer trying it on, nothing more.

I received a call from someone with an Indian accent, insisting they were from Amazon's customer support. They claimed there had been suspicious access to my Amazon account from the States. Then they had the audacity to ask me to install some software so they could remotely check if my account had been compromised. I firmly declined, and they kept ringing me for around an hour before finally giving up. Once I contacted Amazon directly, they clarified that this isn’t their protocol and advised me to file a report regarding the fraud.

Got a call from a bloke who sounded like he might be American. When I asked to have my details taken off their list, he wouldn't do it and came across as quite rude and a bit scary.
