I got an automated call claiming to be from MasterCard or Visa saying there’d been a £600 transaction to some 'Foreign Country' on my credit card. It asked me to press 1 to connect to someone who could stop it. Obviously a total scam. A few days earlier, I also had a call with the exact same message but supposedly from my bank. The recorded voice was exactly the same and the amount mentioned was again £600. I didn’t bother noting down the phone number from that call.
