Today I spotted this number saved in my iPhone reminders and it rang me a while back. The call was about bitcoin; he was trying to sell it, asking if I knew about it or wanted to buy some. I quickly told him no. This rang me roughly two years ago when I was still at school. He started by asking which school I attended and about my gcses. I wasn’t comfortable with that and tried switching the topic, but then he wanted to know about my family and if I had a job. To annoy him, I kept asking about his life instead. Eventually, he got fed up and ended the call - it lasted a solid hour!

Every day they ring me up. At first, they claimed to be from Hope, but when I questioned them, it switched to something else. If you’ve got a Samsung phone, just block the number in your call settings, and it’ll automatically decline their calls after that.

Got a call claiming to do some market research for “Safe Homes” or a similar sounding insurance firm. They wanted me to verify my age group and address first. Then they started asking about stuff like how old my washing machine is, what brand it was, whether I own my house, if I play the lottery, if I’ve got life insurance and who it’s with. They even asked if I wanted coverage for funeral and end-of-life expenses. The call just abruptly ended after that. Honestly, if you’re not up for all those personal questions, just block the number straight away!
