Got a call from a bloke from India who knew my name, address and postcode, saying I’m entitled to more than £3,000 from PPI. The catch was you needed to take out life insurance costing over £20 a month through a number they gave. When they asked for my bank details, I just hung up and blocked the number. He’s phoned me back over 40 times just today! Be careful, these people are scammers.

Got a call from an Asian guy who asked who I was and why I was calling. He said I was owed some PPI money. I told him it sounded like a scam and he rudely told me to get lost ####. I blocked the number but I bet they’ll keep ringing from different mobile numbers.

Next thing you know, they'll be pushing life insurance, supposedly. If you’re actually waiting on a PPI claim, just hang up and contact your actual claims company yourself. Got a call from an asian guy saying i owed £3265 in ppi over 2 months. Totally a scam tryin to make you buy insurance. He wanted my bank details right away without even checking a policy. Apparently they earn commission selling insurance. The bloke said his name was David Marshal. He left a manchester number to ring back. The 018 number is just some marketing firm, watch out!

I just played along and gave them bogus info, said it was right. Then I asked if I could ask them something, they asked why. I told them when I looked up their number it said it was a scam. Then the call just cut off and they hung up.

Got two calls from that number in just a few hours. First, a woman was asking for Miss Ee-vans, I told her she had the wrong number and ended the call. Then a man called later, but I couldn't make out a single word he said. I kept trying to tell him this and then it clicked it was probably the same caller, so I hung up again.
