They also emailed me a form to fill in with my bank info for a direct debit setup. So, I got in touch with my real electricity provider and they told me my smart meter is completely fine and warned me it’s definitely a scam.12 monthsReceived a call while at work from someone saying they were from an energy company. I said I wasn’t the right person and they needed to talk to the manager. Suddenly, they started threatening me, saying they’d chop off my fingers and toes if I didn’t cooperate. I quickly told them to get lost. Later, they rang again from a different number, yelling about how I disrespected them. I gave them the same blunt answer.
