This morning I got two phonecalls from what I’m sure is a dodgy scammer pretending to be a bank, both starting with 01883. The caller ID looked like it was from Caterham or somewhere round there. If you see an 01883 number you don’t know, just don’t pick up! My missus accidentally answered the first one and the caller said something like "this is a bank alert" before she quickly hung up on them. Total scam artists, and you should definitely treat them like the muppets they are.

I've just had another call this morning from an apparently bogus 01883 number, and once again, I found I couldn’t reach them when I attempted to call back. It's clear these are just bank scams at play. If you happen to get a call from an unknown 01883 number, it's best to steer clear and not pick up!
