Got a call from some bloke claiming to be from Open Reach saying there was an issue with my router. He wanted me to give him loads of info so he could access my computer. Someone named David rang me claiming to be from Sky saying there was a problem with my internet connection. I told him everything was working fine and ended the call straight away. But then he rang back and started shouting down the phone (I know I probably shouldn’t have taken the second call, but I did). He was saying something like ‘this is urgent, don’t hang up on me’, which really annoyed me. I told him I wouldn’t tolerate being shouted at and hung up once more. It’s worrying to think people like my elderly mum might fall for this, so I felt it was important to report it.

Got a call from 01883779900 earlier today, Thursday 4 August 2022 at 8:31am. The bloke said his name was Jamal something and claimed he was ringing from B.T. Then he started on about my Broadband and internet. I asked him what B.T. was exactly, and he just repeated the same spiel about being my internet provider. I told him he ought to check his facts because B.T. don’t operate in my area. He kept arguing back. In the end, I told Jamal to do one and hung up.
