I’m pretty sure this was a dodgy call, like others have mentioned. I nearly fell for it because my fridge warranty was actually about to expire - I even had a letter from the company, which made the call seem legit, especially with the Indian call centre noise in the background. But then I got suspicious when they asked if I was still using the same bank for my direct debit without actually naming the bank, and then wanted info to “continue the direct debit”. Surely if they were just renewing it, they’d already have that info? Almost got me, honestly!

Honestly, this is getting really annoying. Got a call for the second time in two days. The person said my washing machine warranty was up for renewal and they could extend it for 3 years.
