Someone rang me saying they were from BT, saying there were security problems with my internet and they had to access it to sort it out. I told them I’m not actually with BT. The guy, with an Indian accent, said they’re the main line provider and had to fix it anyway. I then asked him to tell me who my internet provider really is, and he just hung up on me.

I had a rather dubious call from a chap purporting to be my broadband supplier, claiming to represent BT. Given that I'm experiencing some security concerns, he insisted he was there to help sort things out. When I informed him that I’m not actually a BT customer, he tried to convince me that they’re the primary operators of my line, which didn’t sit right with me. So, I prompted him to verify who my actual provider is, but to my surprise, he just slammed the phone down! Quite an odd encounter, to say the least!
