Just got spammed again, and thank goodness for Call Guardian blocking these idiots. Seems like the scammers and troublemakers are really kicking off the new year with the same nonsense. Honestly, these people and their numbers should be shut down or better yet, locked up for good.

This guy, sounded Asian, kept saying there was something wrong with my PC, even after I told him I don’t even own one. I ended the call, but he called me right back and started threatening me with some awful abuse before cutting off. Really creepy stuff.

Received a rather dodgy call on 16th December 2015 from a chap claiming to be from Microsoft. He prattled on about my computer supposedly sending error messages to their headquarters. Now, I can tell you, he was definitely up to no good, posing as an employee of Microsoft and Windows. Total charlatan! If this number, 01876 289077, flashes up on your phone, do yourself a favour and steer clear.

Great stuff. My BT True Caller phones picked it up straight away so it never rang through to me. Still, it left the number so I could come here and flag it.

Got a call from an Asian guy claiming he was from IT tech support. I cut him off right away, told him my phone was fine and to take my number off whatever list he's got me on. No luck though, 'cause this is the second time in two days he's called!

Got a call from an Asian lady who said there was some kind of alert on my Windows PC. I told her my number is on the telephone preference service list, so what she was trying to do is against the rules, and I warned her I'd be reporting her.

Got a call from an Asian lady asking to get into my computer. I told her she was a proper C###. She didn’t catch what I said straight away, had to say it again nice and slowly. Then I brought up the police and she just went quiet and hung up!

Absolutely, I've just experienced something quite similar. A woman with a strong foreign accent rang me up, claiming that there was an issue with my computer. She insisted she was affiliated with "Smart Guys" out of London. However, the head office number she provided, 0208 155 1095, turned out to be fictitious. She attempted to guide me to the Event Viewer to point out some 'errors’, yet, amusingly enough, couldn't specify what those errors were. It's evident that this is just another scam. I told her to find a more productive way to spend her time. Honestly, these callers are beyond dull. - caller: Scammer

I had a call from an irritating Asian woman claiming there was a computer problem that needed urgent fixing. She tried to get me to sign in so she could 'help' remotely. I went along with it a bit while I was watching the telly, she asked for my IP address and other stuff. I just made up some rubbish and she ended up proper cheesed off, lol.

What an absolute joke, these scammers ringing up asking for remote access to my PC. I cheekily asked if she'd prefer me just handing over my bank details instead, and she said that’d be great! Honestly, how thick are these lot? Ended the call there and then.

The area code for this number leads back to North Uist in the Outer Hebrides. I received a phone call from a woman speaking with a Pakistani accent, claiming that there were significant issues with my computer. I wasted no time and disconnected the call. However, had I been more naïve or oblivious to such devious scams, I could have easily fallen prey, especially since I’ve been grappling with accessing my TalkTalk server lately. It seems the entire network has been offline across the nation for more than a day now! - Caller ID: 01876 289077.
