It was about 9:55 am on Tuesday when I answered, but there was no one on the other end when I replied. However, I could hear what sounded like a busy call centre in the background. Seems like it could be a dodgy scam call.

Got a call about some cash missing from my bank and they wanted to check my info. I told them to give me their name and number so I could call back, but then they just ended the call.

Claimed I was from Virgin Media. Decided to mess about a bit. Told them I had to find my specs (which was a lie). Asked my son (who doesn't even exist) to grab them, mentioning he’s an IT whizz and would take over the call. Guess what? They just cut me off! Can't imagine why, haha!

Got a call from someone who said she was Erica Edwards, claiming to be from a kitchen appliance insurance company. She told me I’d paid too much, but I don’t have that kind of insurance at all, so I just hung up.

I got a call from someone calling himself Kevin, claiming he was from Virgin Media’s technical team. He said my internet speed was slow and that he’d fix it. Told him I’m not even with Virgin Media, but he just brushed it off, saying Virgin controls all the internet in the UK! Looks like someone forgot to mention that to BT and the others 😂 Total scammer.
