Following a rather intense discussion regarding unwanted telemarketing calls, the caller inquired if I was aware of his reason for ringing. I pointed out that it was rather clear I wasn't, seeing as he'd failed to provide any information. He then proceeded to call me dimwitted, to which I promptly declared my intention to end the call. I couldn't quite place his accent, but it certainly had an overseas ring to it. This was actually the second time I’d been interrupted in just a few minutes, as I’d received another call from a different number, only to be met with silence after saying "hello" twice. Eventually, I decided to terminate that call as well.
