Got a call where they asked for me by name to do a survey, but I said no and they just cut the line. Bit strange, really.

Just after three in the afternoon, I received a call from this number. They addressed me by name, and a woman on the other end tried to get me to participate in a survey. I politely declined, saying I wasn’t interested. Curious, I decided to call back, only to hear a recorded message stating that the office was closed. How bizarre!

Got a call today from someone looking for a Robert Ryan. I've lived at this place for more than two decades and know the old tenants well, but there’s never been a Robert Ryan here. Funny thing is, I’ve also had a call on a different phone number asking for the same name. Seems like they just toss out 'Robert Ryan' when whoever answers picks up. Next time I get a call, I might just play along and say I’m Robert Ryan, curious to see what they’ll say!

The call sounded really crackly and when I picked up, there was this weird pause before anyone spoke. They kept giving me really unclear replies to simple questions which just felt sketchy. I even joked I’d passed away 15 years ago and they just carried on like nothing happened - no sorry or anything! Definitely feels like one of those typical spam calls.

When I wondered where she got my phone number, she said she had it linked with my name. Thing is, I’d made sure my name was on the private section of the register and never gave my mobile. She did say she'd take me off their calling list though, so fingers crossed.

Got a call from a woman speaking with a British accent, asked straight away for me by name. She mentioned something about a tech survey. My wife reckoned she might’ve mentioned a firm I deal with for work. When I answered, there was silence on the other end. I got a call from a number in the Brecon exchange area, but when I picked up, there was no one on the line. Then I heard a message saying that nobody could answer “our” call right now. I don’t know anyone around there, so I’m pretty sure it was just some sort of scam or cold call. I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.
