Got a recorded message about some kind of tax problem - total scam, I'm sure. To top it off, they rang me on a bank holiday. Absolutely dodgy!

Got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC. They left a voicemail saying it was really important to call back. When I rang them, they started going on about some tax fraud thing and warned me about legal trouble. They didn’t even have my correct info - obviously HMRC would. When I asked them to send proof by post, they just ended the call straight away. Definitely a scam.

Got a voicemail from a number claiming it's HMRC saying I’m facing legal trouble. Sounds fishy to me, definitely a scam. Avoid that number altogether!

These con artists are still active, so give them a ring and mess with them as much as you can. Dial 141 before your number to keep it private. I reckon they should let people block their caller ID to fight against these automated scam calls. It’s a bit of fun, and honestly, we ought to do our bit to stop them.

Just like loads of others have said, claiming it’s about a tax raid is rubbish. The police really should be on it and cracking down, but I suppose that’d mean actually having to leave their cars, wouldn’t it?

Just got a call with a recorded voice saying something about tax evasion. Pretty sure it’s a scam.

They called saying if I don't ring them back, they'll take legal action against me for tax evasion. Sounds dodgy to me, but they’re threatening some sort of lawsuit if I don’t respond. Definitely don’t wanna get into any trouble, but I’m not sure about calling them.

I got a message on my phone from someone claiming to be HMRC saying I’m about to be prosecuted. It was all a recorded thing and they told me to ring a number back. Obviously, it’s a scam - if you ring, they just push you to pay up to avoid some fake trouble. I didn’t fall for it and just blocked the call.

Got a call over the bank holiday from someone claiming to be HMRC. They threatened that if I didn’t settle some balance, I’d be arrested within 15 minutes and held for 15 days. I’m born and bred here in Britain, and weirdly, they also said I’d be deported - no clue where to though!
