Kept getting calls on my landline, must’ve been a scam or something. Ringing over and over.

This number has called me multiple times, and every time they start going on about maintenance and insurance for household appliances, I just hang up straight away. It’s obvious to me it's a scam, so I’d steer clear of it.

I picked up but stayed quiet, then called them out for being scammers, and they just dropped the call. What a joke!

After trying to call a few times, I finally got someone on the line. A bloke picked up and I started off with a cheery "Good morning, how are you?" Then I told him I was from Microsoft checking about some broadband troubles, asking if he'd noticed any connection problems lately. He quickly said it was the wrong number so I insisted it wasn’t, and then he just cut me off. Felt good to give them a taste of their own medicine!

Some bloke with an accent called me about some insurance for my plumbing and drains. He said he’d pass me on to his manager, probably to sort out payment or whatever, so I just hung up. They’ve rung me a couple of times since, but I didn’t pick up. He did say it was a deal mainly for older folks and asked for my date of birth, so I just gave him a random one.

Got a call about cutting down on my water or plumbing insurance, but I don't even have that kind of coverage!

Beware of dodgy calls about your house appliances draining money from your pockets! It’s a total scam. They try to trick you into paying for things that aren’t real. Don’t fall for it!

I called them back and got an automated voice saying it’s from a home insurance firm. Total SCAM. Same old story, apparently I’m paying £40 every month for some White Goods Maintenance thing. SCAM. They even tried to offer a discount. SCAM. When I asked for their website, they just said they’d mail all the info. They never do. What they really want is your bank info. SCAMMERS. I enjoy messing around with them and wasting their time.

Had a call from a lady named Sylvia with an Indian accent. She was saying my insurance for electrical stuff was going to be cheaper. I told her I don’t have any special insurance for those things and asked her to remove my number from their list. Weirdly, she already knew my name.

Some bloke called saying my white goods insurance was up for renewal and they could offer me a discount. When I tried to ask which company I’m supposedly insured with, he just kept saying it’s due soon. I told him I don’t know where he’s getting this from but I definitely don’t have any white goods insurance. Then he started yelling at me, like I had to pay attention. I told him to stop calling me and take me off his list. Then he hung up. Definitely a scam, watch out!

Lovely woman speaking with an Indian accent claimed to be from a home appliance firm. I asked her, like I usually do, where exactly she was calling from and she answered London. But when I pointed out that her number showed up as being from Abergavenny, she just ended the call. Shame really, I was hoping to chat for a while to keep her occupied so she couldn’t annoy anyone else.
