Just got a call from a number I didn’t know, and they didn’t bother leaving a message. I usually ignore calls unless I know who’s ringing.

Got a robocall claiming it was Amazon saying £39.99 was going to be taken from my bank. The lady told me to press 1 to speak to someone. I got the exact same call a couple hours before, but that time it was from a number local to me. Seems like these scammers are getting smarter, knowing most folks won't pick up international calls but might answer one from nearby. The first call came from a Southport number, and the later one was from 01872, which is Truro. Turned out to be a virtual receptionist setup. Do NOT press 1, it’s a trap!
